About me

Hi!! My name is Sophia. Some things I love include boba, crocheting (obviously), spending time with my family and friends, TAYLOR SWIFT + LANA + CLAIRO + LORDE, and running. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and am learning French (I am quite the linguaphile!!) I am extremely passionate about menstrual equity, and am currently conducting research about period poverty and menstrual equity! I hope you like my website. :))

My Crochet Journey

I learned crocheting a while ago, I want to say in 2010, and was taught by my aunt Angela. To be quite frank, it never quite stuck with me. I can recall making a multi-purpose headband  (like a Thneed!!) that doubled as a belt in the fifth grade and gave one away to a friend. (I remember wearing something crocheted, but I wouldn't really count it as my first project.)

I recently picked up the hobby again since now I am on crochet-tok and an avid Pinterest user (where crochet is going viral!) When I have (or make) free time, I spend it crocheting. I believe it to be a healthy and fun pastime! I am excited to see where this will go and what I will make, and I am equally excited to update this website along the way. :))
